FAQ – Do We Travel?

Well, last year I (Graham) photographed 2 interstate weddings, in addition to the regular couple I get booked for in Sydney, the Hunter Valley, or west of Dubbo. I’ve been to every eastern capital except Adelaide, and am very occasionally flown overseas to shoot a destination wedding.

So the short answer is YES, but here’s why I’m willing- I’m totally addicted to the rush of creating images in different visual landscapes.

Planning a wedding on the side of an erupting volcano, phone me! Planning to tie the knot as you free-fall from 20,000 feet? Book me. Thinking of eloping on a tropic island? Take me!

Here’s a couple of examples of why it’s so much fun to strike a skyline that’s different to what’s on offer in central NSW.

ABOVE: We walked through Sydney’s Queen Vic building on our way from St Mary’s Cathedral, down to the reception at Cockel Bay Wharf. This was the first time in many years I’d been through the Queen Victoria building, and my first time ever with a camera.

BELOW: A photo from Middle Harbour Yacht Club (The Spit, Sydney). Amazingly, on this occasion I had two weddings with receptions back to back there (ie Saturday and the following Sunday.) It’s a beautiful location. On this occasion (the Saturday) we also snuck down to the main harbour for some formal (pictured), and some really fun sunset pics.

These next three images are from Sydney’s InterContinental Hotel (stylised to suit their album). It was this couple’s wedding photography rain plan.

I had the privilege of photographing Vanuatu’s premier wedding photographer’s wedding, some years ago.

Above- This last image is from the Central West, but opportunities to shoot these sort of architectural based wedding images, are fairly rare out here. We have tons of old hay sheds, windmills, and treescapes instead!
