


To add to the mind numbing pressure of having Scott ask where I’d like him to stand with the softbox he was holding for me, the “sunset” shoot turned into a dark grey, overcast, colourless, photographic nightmare. (The image above was the last one shot with only “available light.”) As Alison is my favourite chiropractor, I had visions of having my back permanently “adjusted” for me, if I didn’t pull something out of the hat.
Fortunately, it all worked out in the end. I ripped out some gels (to add colour to the sky), and Scott made some “yes, good lighting choice” style noises to help bolster my obviously flagging self confidence. Now, Scott’s claiming the credit for all the best shots (for example the next 3), because after all, he held the light, and good photography is all about good lighting!
